The technique shown below is
illustrated in my book Modern Self Defense for
the 21st
Note:
All techniques
should be learned under the guidance of a qualified Jujitsu instructor.
Care must be taken to ensure that Tori does not strike Uke. Kicks, and
strikes must stop 6 inches short of the target. Additionally, only throw
Uke onto a surface specifically designed to absorb such impact and only
after proper break falls have been learned.
Tori steps back into left Zenkutsu-Dachi while
making fists with both hands, positioning them together, belt height.
Tori brings both forearms upward between Uke’s forearms, breaking the
choke (stopping the upward arm momentum when the fists are at forehead
height). Next, Tori brings both fists downward upon the bridge of the
nose, grabs the shoulders with both hands, throws a right Mae-Geri
(front kick) to the groin, and throws Uke with O-Goshi. Maintaining the
grip on the right elbow, Tori performs a Kansetsu-Geri (stomp kick) to
the head.
The
goal here is to get away, not subduing the attacker. That is why a stomp
kick is used.
Remember, without safety, there can be no
Jujitsu.
