The technique shown below is
illustrated in my book Modern Self Defense for
the 21st
Note:
All techniques
should be learned under the guidance of a qualified Jujitsu instructor.
Care must be taken to ensure that Tori does not strike Uke. Kicks, and
strikes must stop 6 inches short of the target. Additionally, only throw
Uke onto a surface specifically designed to absorb such impact and only
after proper break falls have been learned.
Tori lowers the center
of gravity, grabs Uke’s right forearm with the left wrist (palm up /
open), and throws a right Tsuki-age (upper cut) to the head. Securing
Uke’s right wrist with both hands Tori turns the wrist counter clockwise
until Uke’s palm is facing away with the fingers pointing towards the
left and throws Uke with Kote-Gaeshi then strikes with Kansetsu-Geri
(stomp kick) to the head.
The
goal here is to get away, not subduing the attacker. That is why a stomp
kick is used.
Remember, without safety, there can be no
Jujitsu.
