All techniques
should be learned under the guidance of a qualified Jujitsu instructor.
Care must be taken to ensure that Tori does not strike Uke. Kicks, and
strikes must stop 6 inches short of the target. Additionally, only throw
Uke onto a surface specifically designed to absorb such impact and only
after proper break falls have been learned.
Tori steps back into
Kibi-Dachi stance, lowers the center of gravity, grabs the left forearm
with the right hand, and strikes to Uke’s groin with the side of the
left fist. Bringing the left arm under Uke’s right arm, Tori steps in
slightly, grabs Uke’s belt, and throws with O-Goshi, strikes with a
right Gedan-Tsuki (low punch).
Remember, without safety, there can be no
Jujitsu.
