Never "snap" a joint technique. Serious injury can occur.
Don't allow Uke a chance to really lock down the grab. React immediately
when the attack begins.
Move your body.
Don't stand still. Use angles to increase the effectiveness of this technique.
Tori steps back
diagonally with left foot, strikes to the head with a left Hiji-Ate
(elbow strike), and brings the left arm over and around both of Uke’s
arms, securing them by grabbing the left triceps. Tori throws a right
Hiji-Ate (elbow strike) to Uke’s head, places the right hand onto right
shoulder (palm down / closed) and right elbow under Uke’s chin. Tori
steps in and throws with a left O-Soto-Gari.
Remember, without safety, there can be no
Jujitsu.
