Never "snap" a joint technique. Serious injury can occur.
Don't allow Uke a chance to really lock down the grab. React immediately
when the attack begins.
Move your body.
Don't stand still. Use angles to increase the effectiveness of this technique.
Tori pulls forward and downward slightly with the right hand. When Uke's balance
is broken, Tori immediately steps diagonally to the rear with the right foot
while raising the left hand up and in front of the chest. Bringing the right arm
around in a circular motion, Tori steps forward with the right foot and applies
pressure with the forearm to Uke's left elbow. Control can be maintained by
keeping Uke's palm upward while applying pressure downward on the elbow.
